To VC, their parent company, the web metrics that can be obtained by having all publishers using Javascript is worth more than the affiliate business they will lose. Unfortunately for VC, they may have misjudged the reaction. With both eBay and Buy.com pulling out of LMI, other merchants will follow suit. That all changed when ValueClick took over.
