WORK IN PROGRESS: SOCIAL MEDIA ADS

It’s nice to see you again. You look great! 

Welcome to July! It’s officially been over a month since I started work @ Merged! ????

This week I want to dive deeper into what I do here + show you some of my work.

LET’S TALK SOCIAL MEDIA ADS:

TARGETED ADS:

I make Targeted Facebook ads. TARGETED ADS are different than ORGANIC ADS…

TARGETED ADS are paid for by the client. They pay Facebook money to get boosted in the algorithm – rather than relying on organic promotion to do the trick. ????

The great thing about Targeted ads is that we can get SUPER specific with WHO our desired audience is.

WE CAN TARGET PEOPLE BASED ON:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Education Level
  • Occupation
  • Location
  • Facebook groups
  • And so much more…

The ad will ONLY show up to those in our selected demographic!

(If you ever see one of my ads, you should feel pretty special because WE CHOSE YOU ????)

(This specification increases the number of viewers who will click / do what we want!)

For example, we wouldn’t target mortgage ads to 16-year-olds with zero purchasing power! That would be a big waste of money and effort! ????

USUALLY, WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO:

  • Click on the client’s website (linked in the ad)
  • Download a free white paper in exchange for their email (so the client can send them emails)
  • Visit the client irl
  • And so much more…

HOW I MAKE ADS:

Before I make any ad, I like to get to know the brand I’m working with! I find it’s really helpful to treat each brand like a person.

Once I know who they are, I like to pretend I’m them for a hot second. This lil process helps me get into their head & understand their goal!

It’s a process similar to method acting I find! ????

With my brand-method acting, i’m able to understand the main points i’d want to get across if I was the brand owner.

I am very proud of this campaign! It’s super cool to see my work out there in the real world!

I find it especially rewarding to contribute to the growth of small businesses and use my creative thinking to influence consumer behavior!
