It’s a comparison that I’m sure Twitter isn’t happy about, but it does beg some consideration. We love the title of this recent article, and it really says it all:
Why Twitter could become the BlackBerry of social media
As a longtime Blackberry user who finally gave up the ghost to switch to an Android phone (and still misses the keyboard), this title particularly strikes a chord with me. Here’s an interesting excerpt from the article:
“Twitter has failed to achieve the mass-market appeal of other social media platforms. As a case in point, ask someone, “Is your mother on Facebook?” And they will likely answer yes. But ask the same question about Twitter and the answer is almost always no. Click here to read the article.
